When you are playing chess, you should always check for traps like forks, skewers and pins.
If someone gives away a piece it could be a trap! Always think before you move.
Once, in a tournament, I took a piece without thinking , and it was a trap for my Queen, followed by Mate.

Good point Reid! Make sure to tell all your teammates to always think about easy piece captures because it could be a trick.
